Website of the Month at Outdoor Photography magazine
I like a compliment as well as the next person, but when I got a call from Outdoor Photography magazine to say I was Website of the Month I was really pleased. Pick up a copy of the December 2007 issue and turn to page 52! 4.5 out of 5, very nice indeed.
I really enjoyed this issue anyway. The interview with Peter Cairns and Mark Hamblin about Tooth & Claw their new initiative to educate and communicate wildlife and landscape usage issues is worthwhile reading. I’ve been a fan of their work for a while. Their photography is subtle and beautiful and their progressive and informed views on land management that recognises all users is very refreshing in todays extremist viewpoints. Their assertion that a pretty environmentally concerned landscape or wildlife picture is nothing but that unless it is actively used to educate has given me a lot to think about.
