Shetland 2007 gallery now up
Just a quick news item, the photographs from my recent Shetland 2007 trip are now up in the Gallery.
It was quite a challenging trip! The weather was mostly awful, overcast with high winds, so it wasn’t such a great trip photographically. But, Shetland is so incredible with many places to explore, secluded little bays with sea level traverses to get to them or scrambles down cliff faces to get to remote sea stacks it is hard to be sad about a lack of photographs. Shetland still remains as one of my favourite locations to visit, a delicious cooked breakfast by my mother in law is an added bonus.
There are quite a few of the photographs in this collection that are not portfolio material, but I would like to show them so you can get an idea of the stunning scenery. And the power of the sea. I’ve always favoured compositions with a lot of water in, but this place, where the Atlantic meets the North Sea is scary and imposing, so there are quite a few dynamic water photographs to feel stunned or scared by too. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to drop me an email about your Shetland stories and photographs.
