Folding bike upgrades

07

Apr

I'm just about to set off on a bit of a grand your on my Birdy folding bike with photography gear in tow, well not in tow, as I'm trying panniers rather than the trailer I normally travel with. Courtesy of Riese und Müller I have been given a SON XS100 dynamo hub and Edelux light. I've also bought the Dahon Biologic iPhone bike mount and Reecharge so I can keep my iPhone going whilst away. And as no bike pannier manufacturer or camera bag maker has a camera specific pannier I have constructed my own from a LowePro Nova 190 and some Ortlieb spare parts .

A picture says a thousand words, so to save my typing, here are some pics of my upgraded Birdy bike.

Full review of this gear will follow once I have got a few miles into them.

The cycling landscape photographer is ready to ride:-)

(Disclosure: I am sponsored by Riese und Müller, but makes no difference I love my Birdy anyway.)
