Passion for landscape of the North
One of North East England’s newest landscape photographers, Mike McFarlane, is exhibiting as part of Newcastle’s Biscuit Factory’s Summer Exhibition.
Mike is one of four talented local photographers chosen for ‘Take 4 Photographers’, which celebrates the importance of photography as an artistic medium.
Mike’s photography captures the wonder and splendour of the countryside, towns and coast of the region.
Working mainly in colour, he likes to pick out details in the landscape that many people miss, but by using wide angle lenses he shows that detail in its setting.
The magical photographs that Mike produces are already going down well with some other North East England’s hot art spots.
He currently supplies work to the Art Cafe in Corbridge, Art Evolution in Gosforth and also has an exhibition at the Cumberland Arms in Byker.
Mike will be exhibiting nine limited edition prints of the landscapes of North East England, which will be available to buy as part of the show.
The Biscuit Factory exhibition will take place until 1 September.
