Christmas landscapes

It may not be snowing yet, but Christmas is just around the corner. Beginning on Friday 16th November, until 6th January 2008, the Christmas Present exhibition at the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead is an annual event selling jewellery, ceramics, textiles, wood and glass, and this year, for the very first time in its 17 year history, there will be photography. I'm showing a mix of favourites and new photography from my 2008 Portfolio including limited edition prints from my recent Hebridean and Shetland trips. As part of this event there will be a number of guest speakers on a range of art based subjects, including a two hour talk by myself on Saturday 24th November at 10:30, please contact the Shipley Art Gallery directly for tickets. Also, for one weeked only I will be showing my landscape photography and selling Christmas cards at The Hearth @ Horsley as part of the Network Artists Christmas Art Tour Plus. Featuring original art and handmade gifts from both resident artists and guests, and a warm and welcoming coffee shop (with very tasty cakes) this will be a great weekend for getting a special Christmas present, or maybe some hand made cards. We have a late opening on Friday 30th November from 6-9pm and are then open from 12-5pm on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December. This event is part of the Northumberland wide Network Artists Christmas Art Tour Plus with events across a wide variety of dates in November and December.
