Admiral PR and Marketing to show in their new boardroom

Following my success at the Biscuit Factory exhibition, I was invited by Admiral PR and Marketing to display some of my latest work in their new Dean Street offices.

Admiral supports region’s hottest new photographic talent

Admiral PR and Marketing has teamed up with hot new North East England photographic artist Mike McFarlane to display some of his latest work in their new Dean Street offices.

Recently returning to his North East roots after a long spell in London, Mike is hotly-tipped to become one of North East England’s favourite emerging photographic artists.

Leading communications agency Admiral PR and Marketing, who beat off stiff competition in June to win the highly coveted One NorthEast Regional Image and Tourism PR account, are also keen to support the campaign in a wider sense, by seeking out and investing in the region’s most ‘Passionate people’.

Mike has long been captivated by the beauty, colour and rhythms of the natural world, and in particular by the landscape beauty of North East England.

His striking images of wild untamed landscapes, deserted moorlands, serpentine waters and rising mists have given an entirely new dimension and ‘other-worldliness’ to the coastline and countryside of our region.

Using a combination of techniques including long exposures, Mike has found novel ways to capture the very essence of moving water, emerging light and natural symmetry. The result is a magnificent collection of kaleidoscopic vistas, evolving seascapes and ethereal natural events. His pictures truly engage the senses and stir the imagination.

Admiral has purchased seven prints from Mike’s latest collection, which feature striking shots of Lindisfarne, Druridge Bay, Orton, Saltburn and Howick.

Mike said: “North East England is a spectacularly beautiful region, with its dramatic shorelines and hill lands, river valleys and cultural curiosities. Both as a native of the area and an artist, I find it a fascinating place.”

党Sometimes, it can take a whole day or longer to get the right light and conditions needed to set up a single shot, but to capture that single moment is always worth the wait”, added Mike.

Georgie Cameron, Managing Director of Admiral, said: “Mike’s work is simply beautiful – he has given an entirely new creative dimension to some of our best-loved regional landscapes. He is a leading light in a wave of emerging creative talent for the region and we are extremely pleased to be able to be able to support him in this way.”

Mike’s work recently created a storm at the Biscuit Factory’s new Summer exhibition, where he opened to great acclaim in June. On the first night of showing he sold three prints, and has since gone on to become one of the gallery’s best-selling artists.

His exhibition can be seen at the Biscuit Factory until the 1st September.
