I spent one week exploring this tiny peninsula, a mile long and maybe a hundred meters wide. The character of geology, sea, flora, fauna and light was different in each tiny little bit - almost a macrocosm for the rest of Shetland. The iron age blockhouse can be seen as a rounded hump on the right side of the horizon - 2000years ago brought other travellers to this area too.
