One thing high winds are good for is interesting seas. Also good for whipping those waves up into a fury so you need to consider tying yourself down to prevent being swept out to sea and for drenching cameras and their photographers in spray, making it really hard work to get a decent photograph without sea spray droplets all over the lens. Thank heavens for plastic shower caps and 3M microfibre cloths.
This was probably the highlight of the week, being right in amongst the landscape, immersed in it. Like heaven!
