Many are drawn to St Ninians Isle for its history and the world class tombolo, which despite many visits I have failed to make a pleasing photograph off. But I’ve been looking at the wrong thing! I’m always drawn to the amazing waves here, driving in from both sides forever rebuilding the tombolo. It’s important in art to follow instinct and emotional response - now I realise.
